Our Cat Adoption Process
1. Application form
The first step is to complete the adoption application form using the button below. This helps us understand your lifestyle and what kind of environment you can offer a cat.
2. Personal conversation
After reviewing your application, our Adoption Responsible will get in touch for a phone or video call. This allows us to talk through expectations, answer questions, and see which cat might be a good fit.
3. Meeting in person
Whenever possible, we encourage adopters to visit Takis Shelter and meet the cats in person. We believe that meeting each other helps ensure a good match and a smoother transition into their new home.
All adoptions are completed in person at Takis Shelter.
For the safety and well-being of the animals in our care, unscheduled visits are not permitted. Walk-ins will be kindly asked to book an appointment before returning.
It is important to us that you and your future cat feel comfortable with each other. This mutual connection is the first step toward a long and happy life together. Questions?
